#13: Driving Battery Innovation Through Simulation, AI, Big Data Analysis and System Integration

3:55PM - 4:20PM
Wenjuan Mattis / Microvast, USA

Microvast is a vertically integrated battery technology company that designs and manufactures everything from core materials to complete battery systems. Our solutions are tailored for commercial vehicles, specialty vehicles, and energy storage systems (ESS), with a strong emphasis on high performance, safety, and application-specific customization.

In this presentation, I will discuss how Microvast leverages advanced simulation technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize battery design, system integration, and overall performance. By combining data-driven machine learning with physics-based modeling on a cloud computing platform, we can accurately predict battery behavior, manage lifecycle reliability, and accelerate development cycles. This integrated approach enhances product consistency, ensures safety, and enables faster response to customer demands for robust, efficient, and scalable energy solutions.

We will also introduce Microvast’s newly launched BMS 5.0 system, which integrates digital twin technology to enable real-time battery monitoring, predictive maintenance, and extended service life – all in compliance with global functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.

Finally, I will share Microvast’s latest advancements in all-solid-state battery (ASSB) technology. Our proprietary ASSB architecture features bipolar stacking and a non-porous solid electrolyte, allowing for internal series connections and achieving cell voltages of 12 to 21 volts. This breakthrough design simplifies system architecture, improves safety, and opens new possibilities for high-voltage, high-energy applications—including electric buses, industrial robotics, and long-duration ESS deployments.
