Ghazaleh Nazari

Dr. Ghazaleh Nazari is a Senior Director of Technology at Coherent with 17 years of experience in engineering, technology development, and commercialization. In recent years, she has spearheaded the development and commercialization efforts of Coherent’s Li-ion battery recycling platform, known as SHARP™. Overseeing teams across the US, Canada, and Asia, she provided strategic leadership, conducted comprehensive market analysis, evaluated opportunities, and refined the business model. Her holistic approach ensured that every facet of the endeavor was meticulously examined and optimized for success. Ghazaleh’s vision and decisive actions were pivotal in guiding the program towards its objectives, including financial oversight and strategic decision-making.

Prior to her tenure at Coherent, Ghazaleh worked at Hatch, a global multidisciplinary management, engineering, and development consultancy. She holds a bachelor’s and Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, with a minor degree in Business and Engineering Management, from the University of British Columbia and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
